Old Fulton Postcards - newspapers (FAVORITE - Boolean filter)- mostly NY, but expanding
  • For the Boolean filter, type in: "Sim" and (Filename contains (BuffaloNY))
  • That example is to search for the word Sim in any Buffalo newspaper - change the surname or the file name if you are doing different families or locations. 
  • An Exact search will usually give you more items, but it will take longer to weed through them.
  • Exact search works really well for addresses.  Let's say you know the address from the 1920 census.  Search it and then scan the titles for the 1920s.
